I will be signing books and participating at panels at CONtraflow XI/DeepSouthCon 63 next Friday, October 10, to Sunday, October 11, at the New Orleans Airport Hilton in Kenner, LA. I will have advance copies of my newest book, Tad Caldwell 2: Cult, which is a sequel to my 2011 graphic novel with Karl Slominski. Joining me this time are Vernon Smith (Bigfoot Frankenstein, Star Trek: Lower Decks) on interiors and Tim Lattie (Night Stars, Plants vs. Zombies) for the cover. Additional layouts and graphic design were done by Drake Mefestta. This early release is intended for the fans and friends I've met through CONtraflow over the years, which was the first convention to book me as a guest. I've attended every one, and this year will be no different. I will post my panel schedule later this week.
Tickets are available here.

This advance release will be printed on higher quality materials, right here in New Orleans. A mass market version for bookstores will follow in the next couple of months. This premium version will only be available at cons and in my webstore. The story:It’s 1991, and graduation day is here! For Nathan, Eric, Jonathan, and Shawn it’s the last summer before college...for most of them. Two years ago, Nathan was almost murdered by disgraced science-fiction writer Tad Caldwell and his half-alien son, Roger. Now, he lives alone in a trailer, where he broadcasts his pirate radio show about UFOs and the psychic secrets within Caldwell’s book, The First Revelation. Nathan knows that saving his father’s life in 1985 may be just a memory away. He begs Tad Caldwell for insight, but the wily old writer is serving a life sentence in a Mississippi prison. Nathan will learn so much more than he’s bargained for when Caldwell’s master plan unfolds.
Only the manuscript for The Second Revelation and a mysterious videotape hold the answers...
